OM NAMAHA SHIVAYA - carved altar piece for Tantric / Hindu temple space. Carved in solid maple..

Originally carved as a private commission for a Tantric practitioner, I'm making this design available to order in my catalogue of work. One of the most popular Hindu mantras and the most important mantra in Shaivism, I have carved the Siva Panchakshara here in solid maple with a bold relief -- 'Om Namah Shivaya' (ॐ नमः शिवाय - "O salutations to the auspicious one!", or "adoration to Lord Shiva". It has a recessed panel at the back which houses a hanging fixture so it can adorn an altar, temple or sacred space.

It's a really tactile size -- 26.5cm wide (just under 10 1/2 inches wide), 7.5cm tall and a nice, chunky 2cm thick. . The maple is aged with an antique wax to raise the contrast of the carving and to add an older, stained texture. If you would like a larger version, just drop me a message!

As my US friends & customers will be aware, from August 29th 2025, all parcels going to the USA regardless of value will incur an import tax imposed by the US Government. The tariff rate for items coming from the UK to the USA will be 10% of the item value. To make sure all shipments arrive quickly and easily -- I will be sending all my orders to the USA via a DUTY PAID service offered by Royal Mail UK, meaning that I will pay the taxes here in advance so the parcel will not be delayed through customs and there will be no hidden / extra charges for you on arrival.

In light of this, I will shortly have to increase my prices slightly on US orders to compensate the extra costs on my end. In the meantime, rest assured all orders from now on will ship to the USA with all duties / tarrifs pre-paid for you peace of mind.
