THE AGRIPPA PENTACLE - Altar Earth Pentacle Carved in Solid Oak (Macrocosm / Microcosm)

18cm in diameter and approx 2cm thick.

A unique, one-off pentacle carving that I just completed with the aim of depicting a concise expression of the universe in symbolic form - as is the nature of a true pentacle. Very finely detailed, inspired by Renaissance cosmology and based upon the work of Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa in The Three Books of Occult Philosophy. The human form represents both its microcosmic and macrocosmic nature and a synthesis of the pentagram and elemental forces; thus representing form / Malkuth. The planets surround the man (with sun and moon being internalised) and the human form in this position approximates the perfect circle and all its meaning. This I feel makes a perfect Earth pentacle tool for a practitioner who wants to work with a coherent universal pentacle symbol without the inherent correspondences of Golden Dawn inspired Ceremonial Magic practices.

Each of my pieces is custom-made to order. These usually take me around 3-4 weeks to make -- as each piece of oak is a specific grain etc, the finish of each piece will be unique so will not be extactly as shown in the photo although the carving etc will be the same, of course.
