GOLDEN DAWN ALTAR SET - Oak-carved EARTH PENTACLE + Golden Dawn TRIANGLE & CROSS

Here I present an altar set for the magician working within the Golden Dawn / Modern Ceremonial Magick and related systems. An EARTH PENTACLE carved in solid English oak and an accompanying TRIANGLE & CROSS cut from local sycamore wood for the altar. Both are presented unpainted so that they can be finished by the magician in line with their work. Both are integral to the work within this system.

The Triangle & Cross is the true symbol of the Golden Dawn -- the Cross should be painted red, the Triangle white, and when placed upon the altar these emblems represent the forces and manifestation of the divine light, concentrated in the white triangle of the Supernals as the synthesis. The red cross of Tiphareth is placed above the white triangle, not to dominate it, but to cause it to descend and manifest into the Outer Order. The cross and triangle represent life and light. Each side of the Triangle is 14cm (5 1/2 inches) long and 1cm thick. The Cross is just over 5cm (2 inches) tall. The example in the photos is cut from local English sycamore wood.

The Earth Pentacle is the first of the Elemental Tools and used within workings pertaining to the element of Earth. Essential for a balanced altar and central as the practitioner begins work within the Zelator grade within the GD system. The first tool to be meditated upon and consecrated within many modern schools and curriculums of modern ritual magick. This pentacle is 16.5 cm (6 1/2 inches in diameter) and 2cm (3/4 inch) thick.

Both pentacle and triangle / cross are finely sanded and unpainted. The catalogue pieces are individually made-to-order. Each one is unique so your piece may vary from the example pictured here depending upon the grain and features of the oak itself. Completion time is estimated at 3 weeks.
